That Halo controller is the 'standard' controller, same as the one you got with the console, just with some 'cosmetic' print to 'commemorate' Halo & Xbox 20yrs of history. The 'Elite' controller of which MS also made a 'Halo' ltd edition Elite Controller is a PREMIUM controller with a premium price tag. I replaced the jack but issue seems to be on the motherboard. However it's headphones port is damaged and I can't fix this. No quality issues at all - it looks amazing. It's halo 5 Locke limited Edition controller and after years it looks almost same as I just opened a box with new one. You know I have a second controller that i was using for years and it's also limited. Every other limited controller should be affected. It's highly unlikely it's individual case. On the other hand what could be wrong with just my controller? They use same paint on every model. If the latter was the case then also other owners should report this but I couldn't find any information about similar paint problem on the internet. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with just my controller or every limited edition controller. If they ignore me I will openly tweet them. I wrote to Twitter xbox support as you suggested. I wonder if other owners of this edition have similar problems? Can someone give me advice what do with it? Thanks for any answers. By calling Microsoft for warranty I will probably end up with standard controller. I'm not sure what can I do with this issue. I can only wonder how it will look after 6 months. I fear the rest of the gold paint will also peel off after some time with start and back buttons included. Places where it peeled are just the places where I often put my fingers, and I'm extremely disappointed it looks like that after that short usage time. I have not used any alcohol-based cleaning solutions that could make the paint peel off. This is not something I expected from a limited edition controller and not even a standard controller after about 2,5 months of usage. However it's not been even 3 full months and the gold paint is already peeling off from the controller, leading me to questions about build quality of the controller from limited edition: Thanks to my early preorder I was able to get one on the release day in November, and I'm using this console with controller for my everyday gaming. Halo Infinite is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.I preordered Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition in September already to be sure I will get on the release day. Halo Infinite: Cyber Showdown – All We Know So Far I myself set center deadzone to 1 and axial to 0.5. ![]() Again, raise the deadzone values if your controller suffers thumbstick drift, which is crucial. 15 maximum input threshold guarantees that you have precise control over your aim. These settings for the look thumbstick ensure that you can make inputs as quickly as possible. ![]() Increase them until your Spartan doesn’t move when your hands are off the controller. However, if your thumbstick has a drift, try playing around the center and axial deadzones. The default maximum input threshold allows you to easily achieve maximum movement speed but is still quick to slow down as well. But if you can aim and shoot real quick, then increase the sensitivity as you see fit and lower it down if you have a hard time aiming.ĭue to the lack of deadzones, you’ll be able to enjoy optimum responsiveness with these settings. It’s fine to keep these settings at the default value since you don’t want to over aim while zooming. However, personally, I’d increase the horizontal sensitivity to 8 and vertical to 7. This should help you to quickly aim but still have moderate aiming sensitivity so you won’t be thrown off. Most people on the internet seem to prefer these look settings. But if you’re used to playing older Halo games where throwing grenades use LT/L2 instead and zooming with Right Stick/R3, use Legacy. Thankfully, each aspect of Halo Infinite‘s robust controller settings can be easily tweaked if necessary.įor Button Layout, pick default if you play other FPS like Call of Duty often since the zoom button is on LT/L2. Truth be told, there are no definitive “best settings” considering everyone has different preferences on how their control feels. ![]() The Best Halo Infinite Controller Settings If you’re an Xbox user or PC owner who prefers to play with a pad instead of a keyboard and mouse, here’s a quick guide for the best Halo Infinite controller settings. Because Halo has always been predominantly a console shooter, the vast majority of its fans will have grown up with a controller, which should be the case with Halo Infinite as well, which supports both Xinput controllers and cross-play between consoles and PC.
